Author Guidelines

The International Journal of Oral and Dental Innovations and Medicine (IJODIM) welcomes original contributions in dentistry, oral health sciences, medicine, biomedical sciences, healthcare innovation, and related interdisciplinary fields.

• Manuscripts must be written in English.
• Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
• All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.

Research involving humans or animals must have appropriate ethical approval and informed consent where applicable.

References:
Authors are encouraged to use the Vancouver citation style.

Plagiarism:
Manuscripts with significant plagiarism or unethical publication practices will be rejected.

Articles

Section default policy

Original Articles

Original Articles report the results of original research in dentistry, oral health sciences, medicine, and interdisciplinary healthcare fields. Manuscripts should present novel scientific findings, robust methodology, and significant contributions to clinical practice, research, or education. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.

Review Articles

Review Articles provide comprehensive, critical, and evidence-based analyses of current knowledge in dentistry, oral health sciences, medicine, and related healthcare disciplines. Reviews should synthesize existing literature, identify research gaps, and provide recommendations for future research and clinical practice. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.

Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses

Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses provide comprehensive evidence syntheses based on predefined methodologies, including systematic literature searches, critical appraisal, and quantitative or qualitative analyses. Manuscripts should follow internationally recognized reporting guidelines such as PRISMA. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.

Clinical Studies

Clinical Studies publish original clinical research involving patients, clinical interventions, diagnostic methods, treatment outcomes, epidemiological investigations, and evidence-based healthcare practices. Manuscripts should present scientifically sound methodologies, ethical compliance, statistical analyses, and clinically relevant findings that contribute to the advancement of dentistry, oral health sciences, medicine, and healthcare innovation. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.

Case Reports

Case Reports describe unique, rare, or educational clinical cases that provide valuable insights into diagnosis, treatment planning, therapeutic outcomes, or clinical management. Reports should include a comprehensive literature review and clearly demonstrate the significance of the case for clinical practice and future research. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.

Short Communications

Short Communications present concise reports of original research findings, innovative methodologies, preliminary data, or significant observations that warrant rapid dissemination. Manuscripts should be brief, scientifically rigorous, and contribute meaningful information to dentistry, medicine, oral health sciences, or healthcare innovation. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.

Editorials

Editorials provide expert perspectives, commentaries, policy discussions, and insights on emerging issues, scientific developments, and strategic directions relevant to dentistry, oral health sciences, medicine, and healthcare research. Editorials are typically commissioned by the Editorial Board but may also be considered upon invitation.

Letters to the Editor

Letters to the Editor provide scholarly comments, constructive criticism, discussion of recently published articles, or brief observations of scientific interest. Letters should be concise, evidence-based, and contribute to academic dialogue within the journal's scope.

Technical Notes

Technical Notes describe innovative techniques, clinical procedures, laboratory methods, digital technologies, software applications, instruments, materials, or methodological advancements relevant to dentistry, medicine, biomedical sciences, and healthcare practice. Submissions should clearly demonstrate practical utility and scientific relevance.
